Overview
The KD-M-I is an “I-type” ultra-fine conical soldering tip designed for high-precision work. While standard tips are too blunt for modern smartphone and laptop repair, the KD-M-I tapers down to a needle-sharp point. This allows you to apply heat exactly where it’s needed—on a single 0201 capacitor or a microscopic pad—without accidentally melting nearby plastic connectors or bridging adjacent pins.
Key Features
Ultra-Fine Point: Specifically engineered for “Jumpering” (connecting broken PCB traces) and micro-SMD soldering.
Multi-Layer Plating: Features a thick iron plating over a high-conductivity copper core, finished with a chrome layer to prevent “creeping” solder.
Lead-Free Ready: Optimized for the higher temperatures required by modern lead-free solder alloys.
Universal Fit: Fully compatible with 900M, 936, 937, 907, and most 60W adjustable soldering irons.
Fast Heat Recovery: The high-purity copper core ensures the tip doesn’t “freeze” when it touches a cold joint.
