Overview
The TEC1-01708 is a high-performance, miniature thermoelectric cooler. Despite its small size, it can handle a significant current (up to 8A), allowing for rapid heat transfer in a very concentrated area. By applying a DC voltage, one side of the plate gets icy cold while the other side gets hot. It is specifically engineered for applications where space is at a premium, such as cooling small CPUs, overclocking experiments, or thermal imaging calibration.
Key Features
Ultra-Compact Footprint: Much smaller than standard 40mm Peltier plates, allowing for integration into tiny enclosures.
Solid State Reliability: No moving parts, no vibration, and no noise—ideal for sensitive electronic environments.
Rapid Response: Reaches temperature differentials in seconds, providing instant cooling or heating.
Precise Control: Temperature can be fine-tuned by adjusting the input voltage and current.
Dual-Functionality: Simply reverse the polarity to switch from cooling to heating.
