Overview
The TEC1-01708S is a premium, miniature thermoelectric cooler designed for durability and precision. By utilizing the Peltier effect, this module creates a temperature differential between its two surfaces using a DC current. The Sealed (S) design protects the internal semiconductor elements from corrosion caused by condensation, making it ideal for sub-ambient cooling where “sweating” is common. Its small size ($15 \times 15$ mm or $20 \times 20$ mm) makes it a favorite for cooling high-power LEDs, laser diodes, and specialized computer chips.
Key Features
Industrial Silicone Seal: Moisture-proof edges prevent short circuits and extend the module’s lifespan in humid conditions.
Compact & Powerful: High current density (8A) in a tiny footprint for concentrated heat removal.
Vibration-Free: Solid-state technology ensures silent operation and zero mechanical wear.
Precision Control: When paired with a PWM controller, it allows for extremely accurate temperature stabilization.
Reversible Operation: Effortlessly switch between cooling and heating by reversing the input polarity.

Why “S” (Sealed) is Better?
In standard Peltiers, condensation (water droplets) can form inside the module as it gets cold. This water eventually corrodes the internal copper bridges. The TEC1-01708S eliminates this risk with its waterproof perimeter, ensuring your project runs reliably for years, even in the humid climates of Karachi or during the monsoon season.
