Overview
The Mega 2560 + WiFi R3 is a high-performance hybrid module designed for complex IoT projects. It eliminates the need for separate ESP-01 modules and logic level shifters. By using the onboard 8-pin DIP switch, you can toggle between the two chips, allowing them to work independently, talk to each other via Serial, or allow the USB port to program either chip individually. With a massive 32Mb (4MB) of Flash memory for the ESP8266 side, you can host high-end web dashboards directly on the board.
Key Features
Dual-Processor Power: Combines the reliable ATmega2560 (8-bit) and the high-speed ESP8266 (32-bit).
Integrated DIP Switch: Professional control over the communication path between the USB, Mega, and ESP8266.
Massive I/O: Provides 54 Digital I/O pins and 16 Analog inputs—perfect for large-scale automation.
High Memory: 4MB (32Mbit) External Flash on the ESP8266 side for large web pages and data logging.
Single USB Connection: Both chips share a single Micro-USB port for programming and power.
