Overview
The NodeMCU V2 is an open-source Lua-based firmware and development kit that helps you prototype your IoT products within a few lines of code. Unlike the wider “V3” versions, the V2 (Amica) is specifically designed to be slim, leaving one row of holes free on either side of a standard breadboard. It is powered by the ESP-12E module, giving you full WiFi connectivity to connect your sensors to the cloud, Home Assistant, or a local web server.
Key Features
Breadboard Optimized: Its narrow footprint is the #1 reason engineers prefer the V2 over the V3.
Stable USB Connectivity: Built-in CP2102 USB-to-UART bridge is faster and more reliable than cheaper CH340 clones.
Plug & Play: Includes an onboard 3.3V regulator—just plug in a Micro-USB cable and start programming.
Multilingual: Supports Arduino IDE (C++), MicroPython, and the original Lua firmware.
Integrated WiFi: 802.11 b/g/n support with integrated PCB antenna for excellent signal range.
