The FT2232HL is a powerful dual-channel USB 2.0 High-Speed (480 Mb/s) to multipurpose serial/parallel interface IC. It handles the entire USB protocol directly on-chip without requiring any specialized firmware programming. Equipped with dual Multi-Protocol Synchronous Serial Engines (MPSSE), each channel can be independently configured for flexible protocols such as UART, FIFO, JTAG, SPI, or I^2C.
