Description

Overview

Stop guessing your battery health! The ZB2L3 HW-586 Module is an electronic discharge load tester designed to measure the true capacity of various batteries up to 15V, including 18650 cells, LiPo, LiFePO4, Ni-MH, and Ni-Cd. It works by discharging a fully charged battery through the included power resistors down to a safe, user-defined termination voltage (cut-off voltage). It automatically calculates and displays the capacity in Ah/mAh in real-time, giving you an accurate picture of the battery’s health.

Key Features

  • Accurate Capacity Metering: Displays real-time current (A), voltage (V), and accumulated capacity (Ah/mAh) via a bright 4-digit LED display.

  • Smart Cut-Off Protection: Allows you to set a custom termination voltage (e.g., 3.0V for 18650) to prevent over-discharging and damaging your cells.

  • Dual Load Resistors Included: Comes with two 7.5Ω 5W ceramic power resistors to create a stable, controlled discharge load.

  • Error Code System: Built-in diagnostics warn you if the battery voltage is too low (Err1), connected in reverse (Err2), or if the discharge current is too high (Err3/Err4).

Quick Guide for Users

  1. Connect a fully charged battery to the “BAT+” and “BAT-“ terminals.

  2. Connect the included load resistors to the “R” terminals.

  3. Power the module using a Micro USB cable (5V).

  4. The screen will show the current battery voltage. Press the “+” or “-“ buttons to adjust your desired cutoff voltage (e.g., 3.0V for a standard 3.7V 18650).

  5. Press the “OK” button. The module will begin discharging, and the LED will blink between Ah, A, and V.

  6. When finished, the display will flash the final capacity value.
