Overview
The IR Flame Sensor Module is a high-speed, high-sensitivity light sensor specifically designed to detect fire. It is most sensitive to ordinary flames and infrared radiation. The module provides a dual output: a Digital Output (D0) which is easy to interface with any microcontroller to trigger an alarm, and an Analog Output (A0) that allows you to measure the intensity or proximity of the flame.
Key Features
Specialized Spectrum: Specifically tuned to detect light in the $760\text{nm}$ to $1100\text{nm}$ range, making it highly effective at spotting fire.
Dual Output Mode: * Digital (D0): Sends a HIGH/LOW signal when a flame is detected.
Analog (A0): Provides a real-time voltage signal for precise distance/intensity monitoring.
Adjustable Sensitivity: Use the onboard blue potentiometer to set the detection threshold.
Wide Detection Angle: Covers about 60 degrees, making it ideal for the front of a robot.
Fast Response: Essential for safety applications where every millisecond counts.
