Overview
The ESP-WROOM-32 is a powerful, generic Wi-Fi+BT+BLE MCU module that targets a wide variety of applications, ranging from low-power sensor networks to the most demanding tasks, such as voice encoding, music streaming, and MP3 decoding. At its core is the ESP32-D0WDQ6 chip, designed to be scalable and adaptive. With two CPU cores that can be individually controlled and a clock frequency adjustable from 80 MHz to 240 MHz, it is significantly more capable than its predecessor, the ESP8266.
Key Features
Dual-Core Processing: Two Xtensa® 32-bit LX6 microprocessors allow one core to handle Wi-Fi/BT tasks while the other runs your code.
Dual-Mode Bluetooth: Supports both Bluetooth Classic (for legacy devices) and Bluetooth Low Energy (for modern sensors/phones).
Rich Peripherals: Packed with capacitive touch sensors, Hall sensors, SD card interface, Ethernet, high-speed SPI, UART, I2S, and I2C.
Ultra-Low Power: Designed for mobile and wearable electronics, with a deep sleep current of less than 10µA.
Security Ready: Features hardware-accelerated encryption (AES, SHA-2, RSA, ECC).
