Overview
The STM32F3 Discovery Kit is designed to help you explore the high-performance features of the STM32F3 series. At its heart is the STM32F303VC microcontroller, which features an ARM Cortex-M4 core with a Floating Point Unit (FPU) running at 72\text{ MHz}.
This board is unique because it is a “Sensor Hub.” It includes an L3GD20 3-axis gyroscope and an LSM303DLHC 6-axis e-compass (accelerometer + magnetometer). With 10 LEDs and two push-buttons, it’s the perfect playground for developing complex motion-tracking algorithms and real-time control systems.
Key Features
Integrated Debugger: Comes with an on-board ST-LINK/V2 for easy “plug-and-play” programming and debugging via USB.
9-Axis Motion Sensing: Built-in Gyroscope, Accelerometer, and Magnetometer—perfect for IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) development.
DSP & FPU Power: The Cortex-M4 core handles complex math (like PID loops or FFTs) significantly faster than standard Arduino boards.
Visual Feedback: 10 onboard LEDs (8 of which are arranged in a “compass” circle) for easy status indication.
Pro-Grade IO: All GPIO pins are broken out to headers, allowing for easy connection to external sensors, displays, or motor drivers.
