Overview

The SW-420 Vibration Sensor Module is a high-sensitivity, digital switch module designed to detect non-directional vibrations. Under normal conditions (no vibration), the sensor maintains a “Normally Closed” state, providing a clean LOW signal. When a shock or vibration occurs, the internal spring mechanism breaks the circuit momentarily, and the LM393 comparator outputs a HIGH signal. It’s simple, effective, and incredibly easy to code for any microcontroller.

Key Features

  • Adjustable Sensitivity: Features an on-board blue potentiometer. Turn it to decide if you want to detect a subtle vibration or a massive “thump.”

  • Stable LM393 Chip: Uses the industry-standard voltage comparator for a clean, noise-free digital signal.

  • Normally Closed (NC) Logic: Provides a stable output that only triggers when motion is actually detected, saving your processor from “ghost” triggers.

  • Plug-and-Play: Only 3 pins (VCC, GND, DO). No complex libraries are required—just a simple digitalRead().

  • Compact Design: Small enough to be hidden inside a 3D-printed enclosure or taped to a door frame.
