The VL53L0X is a revolutionary “Time-of-Flight” distance sensor that integrates an IR laser and a single-photon avalanche diode detector. Unlike standard ultrasonic sensors that bounce sound, the VL53L0X fires a harmless laser pulse and measures the time it takes for the light to return. This provides exceptionally accurate distance measurements regardless of the target’s color or surface properties.
