Overview 

The YF-S201 Water Flow Sensor consists of a high-quality plastic valve body, a water rotor, and a Hall-effect sensor. As water flows through the 1/2″ inlet, the rotor turns, and the Hall-effect sensor outputs a corresponding pulse signal. This pulse frequency changes with the speed of the flow, allowing your microcontroller (Arduino, ESP32, or Raspberry Pi) to calculate the exact flow rate in Liters per minute. It is robust, easy to install, and ideal for liquid monitoring applications
