Description

Overview

The A3144 (marked as 44E) is a high-speed, integrated Hall-effect switch. When a south-pole magnetic field is brought near the branded face of the sensor, the output pin drops to a low voltage (logic 0). Because it is a solid-state device, it can switch millions of times without failing, making it the perfect upgrade over traditional mechanical reed switches for industrial and hobbyist applications.

Key Features

  • Non-Contact Switching: No moving parts means no wear and tear, even in high-speed applications like motor tachometers.

  • Wide Voltage Range: Operates anywhere from 4.5V to 24V, making it compatible with Arduino, ESP32, and industrial PLC systems.

  • Open-Collector Output: Easily interfaces with any microcontroller logic level (3.3V or 5V) using a simple pull-up resistor.

  • Reverse Polarity Protection: Built-in protection to keep the sensor safe during accidental wiring mishaps.

  • High Frequency: Capable of detecting fast-moving magnets (up to 100kHz).
