Overview
The 74HC04 is a 14-pin Integrated Circuit featuring six independent Inverters (NOT gates). Unlike older TTL chips, the “HC” (High-speed CMOS) version is designed for modern circuits, offering a wide operating voltage and very low power consumption. It is commonly used to “clean up” noisy digital signals, provide delay lines, or simply reverse the logic of a sensor output so it works with your specific code.
