Overview
The NE555 SMD (SOIC-8) is a highly stable controller capable of producing accurate time delays or oscillation. In the time-delay (Monostable) mode, the time is precisely controlled by one external resistor and capacitor. For stable operation as an oscillator (Astable), the free-running frequency and duty cycle are accurately controlled with two external resistors and one capacitor. Whether you’re building a tiny drone flasher or a compact signal generator, the NE555 SMD is the industry standard.
Key Features
Universal Compatibility: Works in Monostable (one-shot), Astable (oscillator), and Schmitt Trigger modes.
Compact SOIC-8 Package: Perfect for modern SMT (Surface Mount Technology) boards and miniaturised gadgets.
High Output Current: Can source or sink up to 200 mA, enough to drive small relays or LEDs directly.
Adjustable Duty Cycle: Fine-tune your PWM signals with simple external components.
Wide Voltage Range: Operates reliably from 4.5 V to 16 V DC.
