Overview
The 74HC00 (High-speed CMOS) and 74LS00 (Low-power Schottky) are Quad 2-Input NAND Gate integrated circuits. Each chip contains four independent gates, each performing the logic function. These ICs are fundamental in digital electronics and are widely used to understand Boolean algebra, flip-flops, and latch circuits. The HC version is suitable for modern low-power CMOS applications (such as Arduino and ESP32), while the LS version represents the classic TTL standard.
Key Features
Quad-Gate Design: Four independent NAND gates in a single compact 14-pin package.
Universal Logic: Can be wired to function as a NOT gate, AND gate, or OR gate.
Wide Compatibility: Works seamlessly with breadboards and standard 2.54mm pitch sockets.
Buffered Outputs: Provides high-drive capability to power LEDs or signal other logic stages.
Standard DIP-14 Package: Easy to solder for beginners and fits all standard IC sockets.
