Overview
The Makerfocus 8-Pin Adapter is a specialized voltage regulator and breakout board designed for the two most popular wireless modules: the NRF24L01+ Transceiver and the ESP8266 ESP-01.
Most microcontrollers (like Arduino Uno) struggle to provide enough peak current on their 3.3V pins to sustain a stable WiFi or RF connection. This adapter uses an onboard AMS1117-3.3V regulator, allowing you to power your modules from a 5V source while ensuring they receive the clean, high-current 3.3V they need to operate without crashing.
Key Features
Dual Compatibility: The 2×4 female socket perfectly fits both NRF24L01+ and ESP-01 modules.
Onboard Voltage Regulation: Converts 4.8V–12V input down to a stable 3.3V for the module.
Signal Stability: Includes filtering capacitors to reduce high-frequency noise that often causes “Packet Loss” in wireless communication.
Breadboard Friendly: Breaks out the 8-pin header into a single row of pins, making it much easier to wire compared to the standard 2×4 block.
Power Indicator: Features an onboard SMD LED to confirm the board is receiving power.
