Overview
The TEC1-12706 is a high-power thermoelectric cooling (TEC) module that acts as a solid-state heat pump. When 12V DC power is applied, heat is transferred from one side of the ceramic plate to the other, making one side ice-cold while the other gets very hot. This versatile module is perfect for hobbyists building mini-fridges, wine chillers, or custom liquid cooling systems for electronics. It can also be used in reverse to generate small amounts of electricity if a temperature difference is applied (Seebeck effect).
Key Features
Instant Cooling: Reaches sub-zero temperatures on the cold side within seconds of power-on.
Solid State Reliability: No moving parts or gases, ensuring a long operational lifespan if cooled properly.
Dual Functionality: Reverse the polarity of the power supply to swap the hot and cold sides instantly.
Compact & Powerful: Fits into tight spaces (40x40mm) while providing up to 60W of cooling power.
Easy Integration: Works perfectly with standard 12V power supplies, lead-acid batteries, or high-current buck converters.
